The BetterEnd mod is really good choice for a Vanilla+ pack, and Better Minecraft has it, and your pack doesn't.Dropping below y=0 to fall into a new dimension seems pretty cool (yes, I know it's an old concept because Aether did it first).

ChosenArchitect is playing Better Minecraft, and his enthusiasm makes it seem really good.

My answer is a combination of these extremely weak points: I have a draft already, and put 'Better Minecraft' in the featured packs section, and Crucial 2 is buried pretty low in the 'other new packs' section.Īs far as your question, I don't have a good answer. But I made the What Pack should I play post last year, and have been preparing a repeat for this year. Well, as far as doing 'recommending', I haven't done a lot of it yet. Lots of love put into those packs and nice vanilla+ elements on the latter. I'd much rather play atm6 or valhelsia 3. I don't want to play a modpack if there is no effort put into it.

I personally believe the creator of the modpack just doesn't like tech mods, so he dosen't include mods like Create (despite being perfect for a so called vanilla++ pack.) It just feels like a coagulation of mods that the creator went on curseforge and downloaded. Despite being called 'Better Minecraft', the modpack does not expand on aspects such as redstone/technology or storage. Loot pools contain hardly any modded items, making exploration somewhat useless/further discouraging working through mods. Massive structures that are an eyesore on the landscape are way too common. There is often no incentive to work through mods. No mods are integrated together to make it feel like a cohesive experience. Lots of cool vanilla plus mods, lots of bloat garbage. It has cool mods in it, but it also has so much crap mcreator mods that it makes it feel like the modpack maker didn't even test them before putting them into the pack. The thing is it just feels so lazy to me.
